La Delegación de Fiestas anuncia la pregonera de la feria de este año. Será nuestra jugadora de golf amateur más internacional, la benahavileña Julia López.
La actual campeona de Europa ha sido ganadora por segunda vez en 2024 de la Liga Universitaria de Estados Unidos, donde cursa sus estudios universitarios en Mississippi States.
La golfista benahavileña atesora un curriculum deportivo brillante en el que destacan además las medallas de oro en el Europeo Sub 18 por Equipos 2021, el Mundial Universitario por Equipos 2022 y el Europeo Absoluto por Equipos 2023.
Es una promesa del golf que con solo 3 años comenzó a entrenar en nuestra escuela municipal de golf del Ayuntamiento de Benahavís y que con su trabajo, talento natural y disciplina se ha convertido en una deportista con una trayectoria de ensueño, situándose actualmente tercera en el ranking mundial amateur femenino.
Por esto, y como reconocimiento y homenaje
a su trayectoria deportiva y por llevar el nombre de Benahavís por el mundo, Julia López será nuestra pregonera.
TOWN CRIER FOR THE 2024 FAIR
The Festival Delegation announces this year’s fair town crier. It will be our most internationally renowned amateur golfer, Julia López from Benahavís.
The current European champion has won the U.S. University League for the second time in 2024, where she is pursuing her university studies at Mississippi State.
The golfer from Benahavís boasts a brilliant sports curriculum that also includes gold medals in the Under-18 European Team Championship 2021, the World University Team Championship 2022, and the Absolute European Team Championship 2023.
She is a promising golfer who started training at our municipal golf school in the Benahavís Town Hall at just 3 years old. With her hard work, natural talent, and discipline, she has become an athlete with a dream trajectory, currently ranked third in the women’s amateur world ranking.
For this reason, and as a recognition and tribute to her sports career and for carrying the name of Benahavís around the world, Julia López will be our town crier.
